Giappichelli rebranding

Celebrating a century of legacy, the historic Turin-based publishing house Giappichelli Editore embarks on a complete rebranding journey to align with modern trends and establish itself as a leader in academic publishing.

While rooted in a rich and elegant visual heritage, the old design was too antiquated to convey innovation. The rebranding effort refreshes the company’s image, making it more appealing and relevant to its primary target audience—university students—by merging timeless value with cutting-edge design.

The new Giappichelli logo is totally centered around an iconic “G.” This typographic symbol incorporates the image of a page being turned within its design. The turning page not only represents the core product of the publishing house—books—but also symbolizes the idea of the beginning of a new chapter in the publisher’s esteemed history.

The “G” icon is than accompanied by a simple, linear and contemporary typography, stripped of any retro elements.
